We only had a month to get things livable before we had to head to NY for a couple weddings and we were going to stay there till Christmas. So we knew we wanted to come back to a finished shower, specially since our hydronic heater was getting installed so we would finally have hot water!
Now the scary bit was that we had never tiled before and knew there were several different ways we could mess it up... and we did LOL. I have embedded a video on the process, but basically we left the grout on too long and had to spend about 4 days scrubbing the excess off with a strong acid. Fortunately it looks fairly good now and we added 2 custom tiles of our dogs (Khumba & Diamond).
